My Birthday!!!

Hey everyone,

I am so happy!!! Today is my birthday and I received Raymond's 2010 DVD concert and his movie, TJATP in the mail today!!! Yeah, I was so surprise...I waited for awhile and hope it will arrive before my birthday. When it didn't came on Tuesday, I sort of lose faith...but I was so happy! It is like my birthday present to myself!!! Argh! I just finish the first disc...what can I say...it was wonderful!!! Amazing! Exciting! I can't wait to continue to the next disc and then the movie!!! Haha...I am going to spent my birthday watching everything!!!

For my readers, I am sorry...I still have not written anything yet... but I won't give up. Sometime in the future, you will see another chapters from Breeze!!! Thanks for the patient!

Chapter Thirty-Nine: Ironic Fate

Chapter Thirty-Nine: Ironic Fate

“Raymond?”

He looked up from his soup. “Huh?”

Myolie looked at him closely. “Everything is going to turn out fine tomorrow.”

Raymond avoided Myolie’s comforting eyes. He felt a slight tug of guilt. It wasn’t what will happen tomorrow at the meeting that was on his mind…but what happened just before he came here.

“We did everything we could. Moses is right. There is nothing else to do.” She smiled softly at him. “So relax.” She chuckled.

He stared at her. Gosh, did she know that her eyes sparkled beautifully against the dimmed light when she smiled like that. He continued to watch as she dipped her spoon into her bowl of vegetable soup and brought it back up. Placing it slightly against her lips, she sipped it up.

Raymond swallowed hard and looked away.

“How’s the wedding preparation going?”

He relaxed at the safe topic. “Crazy. Last night, the designer was feeling me up.”

“Huh?” She thought she heard wrong.

“The Italian wedding dress designer Aunty hired from oversea.” He lowered his voice. “He scares me.”

Myolie laughed. “Come on, nothing scares Raymond Lau.” She said in a joking manner.

“Well, he does. He…” Raymond looked embarrassed. “He…” Myolie leaned closer in order to hear his words. “He kept pinching me.”

She roared in laughter. “No!”

“Yes.” He frowned at Myolie’s amused look. “It’s not funny. The guy is sexually harassing me every chance he got. Did you know what he did last night?”

“What?” Myolie was blushing from humor.

“He was measuring me for my suits for the wedding.”

“Oh no…” Myolie laughed, knowing where this story would lead to…

“Oh yes…It was a miracle that I got away with my virtue intact. You won’t believe what his hand is capable of…”

She grinned in mischief. “Gosh, I got to meet this designer of yours.”

“He is not MY designer!” He pouted in disgust.

Myolie laughed. “Whatever.”

The car slowly eased onto the curve of the sidewalk and stopped. Raymond hesitated with both his hand on the steering wheel.

“Thanks for the meal.” Myolie grabbed her purse. “Get a good night sleep.” She smiled and patted Raymond’s hand. “We will overcome whatever obstacles there is tomorrow but ‘Essence’ will be okay.” She turned to go when Raymond’s hand flipped around and pulled her back inside the car.

Myolie frowned and opened her mouth to speak when Raymond’s mouth was on hers. She was speechless as he kissed her. It was the gentleness and sweetness behind it that shocked her the most. Before she could respond, he released her. “Sweet dreams…” He whispered against her and gently stroked her cheek before he settled back in his seat. In daze, she stepped out of the car. Behind her, Raymond’s car zoomed onto the highway…

“Yeah…sweet dreams.” She entered her apartment in confusion.

He should be happy as he watched the other members of his act entered the board room. He smirked knowingly, watching the ignorance smile on their faces. They think they have the upper hand, yet, little did they know…he will always emerge the winner. They believe that since Moses Chan inherited the last 2% of the shares, they will have the power to overcome him. Fools, they are all foolish beings. You never show your hand, not until the last minute… Take the opponent by surprise, that’s what his father taught him. And wouldn’t it be a huge surprise when Raymond Lau realized that one of the board of directors had already betrayed him. His heart should be fill of joy and the taste of success in minutes away.

Yet…strangely, he felt nothing. There was nothing. Even when he knew he was going to win, the sense of satisfaction and the happiness he expected to feel from the start of his plan was different. He expected the sweetness of victory because of the years he spent, the hours he planned, and the sacrifice he made, in order to bring down ‘Essence’. However, when he was only minutes away from achieving his life long goal, he felt…he felt an unknown emptiness.

He frowned as he watched the closeness between the three people that was a completely unacceptable combination. The nobody who grew up from the deepest and darkest pit of hell, the well-brought up classy lawyer, and the washout movie star. A trio that never should have worked but somehow…Ron watched the encouragement they communicated from their gestures and glances. It should be completely wrong. Yet, it worked.

His assistant started the meeting but Ron’s mind was not focus. He kept thinking back to his conversation with Nancy. He calmly listened as Nancy explained that she didn’t want to see their lives consumed in hatred and vengeance. What happened in the past should stay there. It doesn’t matter who was right or wrong anymore but the only thing that should matter was the future…Their children’s future.

Ron pulled himself away from his thought and concentrate on the meeting ahead.

“As you all know the purpose of this meeting is to vote on the future outlook of ‘Essence’ in regards to the mergers with Dominic Enterprise. For the pass two weeks, I believe you have significant time in making your decision.” He looked around the conference table as the atmosphere raise to a new level of intensity. “We will start the voting process now. As we go around the table, please state your decision.”

One by one the board of directors stated the position they are taking, allying themselves with Raymond and Myolie or bended under the power of Ron Ng. As the seconds ticked by, both side of the balance scale bounced back and forth. Ron watched with extreme confidence as the decisions were revealed one after another. In his heart, he couldn’t wait to see the expression on those losers face when their fate and the fate of ‘Essence’ was seal permanently. His heart raced in anticipation as the finally moment arrived.

The only decision left would seal the fate of ‘Essence’. The person looked nervously around the room until his eyes landed on Ron. With only a slight nod, Ron signaled the person to proceed.

This was it.

Ron smiled as the person opened his mouth to give the final verdict…

Nancy sat calmly with her hand folded across her lap. In her hospital gown, she was outside the white hallway in an elegant posture…but inside her mind, she was in turmoil. Her head was down with her long hair hiding half her face. Tears were threatening to break out anytime. She was so stiff, it was impossible not to notice.

“Nancy.”

Her head snapped up and tears finally leaked down her cheek.

She ran toward him. “Oh, Ron…”

He embraced her and tried his best to smoother away the fear. “They won’t tell me anything.”

He nodded and they both settled down in the chair Nancy occupied second before. However, this time he was there with his arms around her. “She will be fine.” His heart pounded in fear as he stared at the double door and beyond. “Remember how she fought her life into this world.” He stroked her hair in a comforting gesture. “Our baby girl is too strong to give up now.” He said, giving Nancy and himself reassurance. “Everything will be fine.”

He tasted fear before…but never like this. Never did he felt this intense fear that caused his entire body to shake uncontrollably. He acted brave in front of Nancy but his mind was screaming in agony. His little baby girl was in there. He could still remember when she came into this world, crying with such powerful lungs. Now she was beyond those doors, fighting for her life. It would be so cruel if he was allow to experience true happiness just days before with this new life in his hand and now it may be taken away from him.

Please…

He never prayed. He never believed…but if he was blessed with this one request, Ron was wiling to give up anything. Even his life.

For the first time in his thirty years of life, he realized the true meaning of being a father. He experienced with unconditional love for a being and he realized that this tiny being was more important to him than anything in this world. As long as she won’t be taken from him, he was willing to give up anything…simply name it.

“Ron…”

Hearing Nancy whisper his name, he looked up and saw the door opened.

It was fate.

Quite ironic, actually. Alex Chan, the last person to speak up and the person he bribed to change his vote the last minute, was about to open his mouth and seal the fate of “Essence.” At precisely that split second, the conference room’s door opened. Chris entered and hurried toward Ron. He recalled he was frowning at the interruption but he knew Chris was competent and smart enough not to interrupt him. Therefore, something was seriously wrong. He waited as Chris stopped in front of him and leaned down to his level. He whispered in his ear, “Mr. Ng, there was an emergency. Mrs. Ng called a moment ago that your daughter is in critical condition. You are needed at the hospital.”

There was a second there. A second… where Ron pondered whether Nancy was lying to him. He knew of her plan to stop him from destroying ‘Essence’. Yet, he wiped that doubt from his mind immediately. Nancy would never use their daughter as a tool like this. There was never a mean bone in Nancy’s body. Not his Nancy.

Therefore, it only meant one thing…his daughter is in trouble.

At that moment, he spared only one glance at the meeting room. He could do this. He can finish want he started now and win. Yet, as he stared at all the familiar but strangers in the room, he did not even have to choose. Without hesitation, Ron stood up and walked out the room.

He actually heard a few grasps when he closed the door.

Ironic, wasn’t it?

He had spent a large portion of his life waiting for that one moment in the meeting room. His life long goal will finally become reality and he can finally revenge for his father. However, he gave all that up without any doubts.

It was meaningless.

It took his daughter’s life to make him realize the purpose of his life. It wasn’t to continue his father’s vengeance. It wasn’t to bring down ‘Essence’ nor was it to destroy Raymond Lau.

He smile as he stared at his daughter’s sleeping form.

There.

There’s the purpose of his life.

Nancy watched Ron’s expression in wonder. Standing outside the glass panel with a view of the recovery infant room, Nancy turned toward Ron who was staring at their daughter.

He came.

When she made the call, she told herself not to have too much an expectation.

However, when Ron appeared in the hospital hallway, she almost broke down. She continued to watch in wonder as Ron touched the glass tenderly.

She never saw this side of him. Not once.

He had shown affection that he never shown to anyone before…it seems like this little girl will have him wrapped around her little fingers.

She smiled in hope.

“Cheers!”

The three champagne glasses came together and made a loud ringing sound.

With a sigh, the three partners settle down each on an individual sofa around the small table in the club. Raymond closed his eyes and lay back on the sofa. He took a sip from his glass. “Am I dreaming? Cause this seems unreal?”

“Maybe this is a dream. Yet, I rather dream about a room of Hawaiian girls dancing… which I often did.” Moses added.

Raymond laughed. “Good dream. I have a few of those.” He leaned over to Moses in a carefree matter. “But a little advice…never ever dream it in your lady’s presence.”

“Hm…Hm…” Myolie cleared her throat. “Another little advice…never talk about your dream in a lady’s presence.”

“Sorry.” Both Raymond and Moses apologized sheepishly like schoolboy caught with a playboy magazine in front of the teacher.

Myolie relaxed against her chair. “It was kind of unreal.” She paused. “I never expected Chris to come into my office with a proposal. Ron Ng actually made an offer to sell ‘Essence’ back to us.” She swirled her glass of champagne in triumph.

“What are you going to do?” Raymond asked softly. He watched as her lips gradually curved into a smile. “Never mind, of course, you will.”

“You bet. This battle was too long and tedious. I haven’t had a good night sleep since…I don’t even recall when.” Myolie sighed in joy. “I was quite disappointed that I didn’t get to help Aunty with the wedding preparation. I even have to turn down planning for the bachelor and bachelorette parties tomorrow night. Good thing Linda was able to help out.” She picked a french fries and started chewing on it.

“Wait…wait…” Raymond grabbed Myolie by the shoulders. “Are you telling me you just gave the key to the devil?”

“No.” Myolie moved away from Raymond’s panicked expression. If it wasn’t the fact that Raymond looked dead serious, she actually wanted to laugh at the fear on Raymond’s face. “I said I asked Linda to help out with the planning of the parties.”

“Do you know what you have done?” Raymond exclaimed.

Myolie shared a “What is wrong?” look with Moses, who shrugged in humor.

“Myolie!” Raymond yelled to get her attention back to him. “Do you even know Linda?”

Myolie frowned. “Yes, I know Linda. Your friend. My brother’s girlfriend.” She still didn’t see what she did wrong.

“Argh!” Raymond shook his head in agony. “Why am I asking you this? Nobody…Nobody know Linda as I do and what you just did is condemned the entire wedding.”

“Huh?” Myolie managed to say and glanced at Moses helplessly.

Moses laughed. “Come on, Raymond, stop talking in riddles. You are scaring the poor girl silly.”

Raymond sighed. “Okay. Linda may look sensible and normal…” He paused. “Actually, she doesn’t.”

“Raymond!” Myolie laughed and hit him on the shoulder.

“Okay…” He whined and moved away from her. “What was I saying? Oh yeah, Linda is an animal.”

Moses burst into laughter.

“It is true. Linda is a wolf under the disguise of a sheep.” He glanced over at Moses who was trying hard to suppress another laugh and then at Myolie who looked angry of what he was saying about Linda. “You don’t know her like I do, especially when she is at a party. She is crazy! You wait and see…tomorrow’s party will be a freaking circus.”

“I like circus.” Myolie defied him.

Raymond shook his head. “Not this circus. If you like a Rated 4 adult movie into reality, you would love this party.”

“Come on, Raymond, it’s not going to be like that. Linda work very hard for the preparation. It is going to be wonderful.” Myolie was firm with her assertion.

“You will see tomorrow.” Raymond popped a peanut into his mouth. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Moses watched them in humor as Myolie glared at Raymond who had an arrogant smile on his face. He smiled knowingly.

Didn’t they feel it? He wondered.

It was so obvious.

The attractive was so obvious for anyone to see. Yet, the two people involved were clueless. He continued to observe as Myolie gave Raymond a final glare and went to join another group of people near the bar. Raymond was about to follow when a lady sat down in the seat that was occupied by Myolie only seconds ago. Moses hid his amusement behind his glass of champagne when Myolie glanced at Raymond, who was flirting with the unknown woman, with a troubled expression. The second Myolie turned back to her group of friends, Raymond happened to glanced over at Myolie, who was laughing at a joke with one of her unknown male friend. He frowned.

Well…well…Moses thought in delight. It should be fun seeing those two sort it out among themselves…

Moses sipped his wine with a smile.

I’m back! Hopefully, my readers are still here. LOL! Anyway, I know I am gone for awhile and I can’t promise regular updates but I did promise to finish this story. In the meantime, I want to thank with the bottom of my heart for those readers who keep coming back and checking up on me, you are all just wonderful! I think it is all your persistence that keep me writing this story…Thank you all so much! Love you all!

Now, this chapter take me exactly months to complete because I keep coming back to type only a few sentences at a time. Honestly, I am not too satisfied but I am looking forward to the next chapter… The Bachelor and Bachelorette parties! How will it turn out?! Stay tuned.

By the way, I am happy that so much is going on with my favorite idol Raymond Lam! Did anyone went to his concert? I wasn’t able to…However, I was able to watch GTL in Mandarin. I just finish the entire series yesterday and it was just wonderful. It was different from typical TVB series and sometime it can be a little boring but the acting and dialogue are great. I really love Raymond’s character there and it was quite a heartwarming and touching story. I wish TVB version won’t disappoint me because I know scenes would be added and deleted to fit HK’s taste. Currently, waiting for his concert and movie’s DVD on sale!

Raymond Lam's 4th Album Come 2 Me

Wow! This album gave me quite a scare. Why? Okay, let's start at the beginning...I received the package this afternoon and I was so happy! I was waiting for a week and I had been to youtube to hear all the songs but it is not the same as owning your own album. Anyway, so I opened the package (Always love that feeling) and I was surprise with the 24 cards of the special version. I was actually expecting smaller cards but it was actually pretty big, the size of a book. It was totally worth it to own this special album...plus I love the entire album because all the songs are so different. My favorite so far!

Anyway, so I was listening from my CD player because my laptop was otherwise occupied. Starting from the midway of the theme song of MOL, it suddenly stopped. I wasn't scared at that point...so I quickly get on my laptop and started ripping the songs into my computer. Again, it stopped at the exact song...No matter how many time I tried, it still didn't work for the last three songs. I was scared at that point. I hate returning items. I thought it is just my luck that I got the defected item. So...at a last resort, I opened my brother's computer and tried it one more time...

Oh! Thank god it worked! That was quite a scare! Anyway, I am very satisfied with this album all together. Now I am going to go listen it some more...maybe later I might post some pictures!

Breeze's Update

Hey,

So what is Breeze's up to lately? I am sorry for disappearing for a while now but my life was loaded with stress and work. I finally finish school but I have so much to do. However, I still continue my writing. This is something I have a passion for and I can't help but think up stories and scenarios. Still, I have stopped for a long period of time. I am afraid I am a little rusty. Anyway, so how am I doing? Well, I tried to write the next chapter of Illumination...halfway through...I couldn't really continue...I can always force myself to continue but I felt I need more inspiration. Hopefully, it will come soon or else...I will have to make myself write... As for Dusk of Dawn, I keep going back and forth with one story to the next... However, thank god, Raymond's fourth album came out. I can feel my stories from each of his songs. I absolutely love his latest album!!! So I think this would be my next project...and god knows, when I will update Lethal Clash.

Lastly, I want to thank my readers who still remember me and I must apologize for the long wait. I will do my best!

Illumination_ Chapter Thirty-Eight: Inner Admittance

Note: As you may know Winglin has been down for awhile now. Therefore, I had kept this chapter for awhile but each time I go check...the link is not working. So...I decided to post it here in the meanwhile. I don't have the heart to make my readers wait anymore...(^-^) By the way, through to the unreliability of winglin, I plan to create a site with my fanfictions. It is still in-process and I was hoping to copy and paste my chapters from winglin into my own site...since I am too tried to organize it in my computer. LOL! Well, after such a long wait, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Chapter Thirty-Eight: Inner Admittance

It wasn’t everyday that something as impossible as what he just experienced happen. He seriously wanted to laugh about the irony of life. In his thirty so years of life, he never experienced something so ridiculous…so bizarre.

Afterward, he drove aimlessly on the road, searching and seeking for something…anything to understand what was going on. When a person was forced to face what he had been doing for his entire life, he was thrown into a pool of confusion. It was worst when he was forced to realize what he had been doing…was questionable.

…And his very existence and perception of life had been turned upside down.

It was three A.M. in the morning until he stepped into his empty house, and the coldness overwhelmed him. Staring at it as if it was all strange to him, he closed his eyes. With a sigh, he walked up the stair to his bedroom and on the way, he stopped at his sons’ bedrooms. Needing and wanting their presence and innocence, he approached them and gently buried his face on their shoulders. Inhaling their warmth and love, he kissed them each individually before he walked out and closed the door.

At last, he entered Nancy’s bedroom…for the first time.

Since they separated their bedroom, Ron had never entered her bedroom before, respecting her privacy. However, on this night, he had to ask her something. He wasn’t sure what he hoped to find but he want to know…

…Why?

He approached her bed slowly, afraid to woke her up. Yet, when he was standing there, looking at his wife, he realized if he wanted answers, he will need to wake her up.

“Nancy…” He barely whispered as if he was afraid to wake her…afraid to ask the question. “I…” He hesitated, watching Nancy’s peaceful form. “I know what you did.” She stirred but settled down again. Ron let out the breath he was holding. “I don’t know what to say.”

Honestly, he didn’t even know what he was doing…and what he wanted any longer. With an unseen force weighting down his shoulders, he turned to go when Nancy’s arm shot out and grabbed him.

It wasn’t the abruptness that shocked him. It was the strength her fingers digging into his skins that alarmed him.

“Nancy?” He settled down next to her and gently held her hand. Sweats were beaming on her forehead. He touched her cheek. “Nancy darling?”

“Ron…” She sounded like she was breathing through pain. “My water broke…”

“What?!” He exclaimed. “I…I will go get the nurse.”

He was about to run out but Nancy held him still. “Mimi…Mimi is not here. Her daughter got into a minor accident. I let her go home to take care of her.”

“Ambulance!…” Ron shouted and started dialing. Afterward, he pressed the intercom.

“Power!”

No respond.

“Power!”

Nothing.

Where could his driver be? He was about to press the button again when Nancy tugged his arm again. “He’s not here.”

“What?!”

“I just told you…”Nancy swallowed the pain. “His daughter got into an accident.”

Ron was confused. Is the pain causing Nancy to hallucinate? “Nancy…You just told me Mimi’s daughter is in an accident. Now you are telling me Power’s daughter…” He trailed off when he saw Nancy smiled through her pain.

“Ron.” She whispered softly. “Mimi’s daughter is Power’s daughter.”

“Huh?” His confusion at the moment lessened his worry.

Nancy smiled. “They are husband and wife.”

Ron was shocked. When did his nurse and driver got together? “They are married?”

Nancy laughed. “For five years, Ron.”

He smiled but when another contraction hit Nancy, Ron’s panic returned. “How are you feeling?” His hands were trembling.

“Ron…I don’t think I could wait for the ambulance.”

The contractions were coming too close. “Come on, we will get to the hospital.” Lifting Nancy into his arms, he started for the stairs. “Wait.”

“Nancy, we can’t wait.” He was getting impatient.

“Get Mary.”

The nanny? “Good idea!” Ron shouted for the woman, and she appeared in less than a minute.

“Yes, sir.”

“Accompany us to the hospital.”

“No.” Nancy whispered. “Mary…” She held out her arms to the sixty years old woman. “Look after Mitchell and Mikey for me. When they wake up… tell them I will have a surprise for them when I come back…”

The nanny nodded in reassurance. “You go and give birth to a health baby, madam. I will look after your boys.”

“Thank you.” She smiled beautifully at her, even in such a state. Ron quickly hurried Nancy outside and into his car. Glancing at Nancy from the backseat of his car one more time, he started the engine.

“How are you feeling, dear?”

Nancy looked very pale but she was putting on a brave front while Ron tried to remain calm. He would constantly glance at the rear mirror to make sure Nancy was doing alright. “We will be there in no time.” He wiped the sweat from his forehead. “Hold on…” He prayed.

As if god was angry with him, the car jerked and the engine started echoing a very disturbing noise. “No…No!” He continued to drive while yelling at the car…until it finally slow down and stop. “No!” Ron hit the steering wheel with his palm. “F*king useless piece of crap!”

Behind him, he heard Nancy burst into laughter. Ron continued to turn on the engine, hoping for a miracle. He didn’t give up until he heard the painful gasp behind him. Rushing out the side door, he pulled open the back door. “Nancy…” Helplessly, he watched Nancy breathing through the pain.

She looked so pale, Ron thought. Terrified, his trembling hand held her clutching hand. He ignored her fingernails digging into his skins. “Relax…Relax…”

He didn’t know what to do or say. He had never been in such a situation and it terrified him to the point where his brain wasn’t even functioning coherently. He never thought about the process of childbirth. The first time it happened, he was away from a business trip. By the time he came home, both boys were in their cribs. He never worried about the pregnancy because he hired the best medical care for Nancy. Now…

“Ron…” Nancy’s weak whisper penetrated his mind. “Do you have your phone with you?”

His expression looked so grateful for the suggestion, he could almost weep. Searching his pockets, Ron frowned. He couldn’t find it. He started fanatically looking for his phone…but nothing. “I…I…think I was charging it on my desk.”

Nancy patted his hand and smile reassuringly. “Everything will be fine.” She took a deep breathe. “It shouldn’t be so hard. I did this before…I know what to do.”

Ron relaxed slightly. Thank god…because he had no idea what to do. They are stranded on this road, miles away from town. There was no way of communication.

Nancy was trying to give him instruction but his mind was clouded in fear…fear of Nancy and their unborn child. He jerked unconsciously as Nancy screamed in pain.

“Oh god…oh god…” He sat there uselessly with Nancy gripping his hand. “Breath…Take slow deep breathe…” He wasn’t sure he should be giving advice but…he was at the end of his rope here. “Nancy…”

“Ron, I think I will be having our baby here.”

“No…no, the ambulance will come.”

“Ron…” He raised his head to her demanding tone. “I will be having the baby here. Right now.”

“Oh god…” He took a deep breathe. “What…what do you want me to do?” He looked around in panic.

“Listen…” Ron paid close attention to what Nancy was saying but his face turn whiter and whiter by the second.

“Ron, it’s going to be okay.” She smiled awkwardly. “We will have this baby together.” He nodded and his eyes turned soft.

Nancy was the one in pain. Nancy was the one losing all the blood and fighting for both her and the baby’s life. Yet, she was the one who was reassuring and comforting him. His eyes started to tear up as Nancy experienced another wave of pain. “Hang in there, baby…” He whispered as he leaned over and kissed her on the forehead. Pulling away, he smiled at her and she smiled back. They both silently communicate their thoughts. They will get through this. Their eyes and gestures spoke of unconditional comfort to each other.

Settling back at his instructed position, he watched in fascination and terror as a miracle happened. He watched as Nancy moaned and groaned until he saw it.

Holding onto the tiny being, he looked as if he was dreaming as he hugged the little creature in his arms. Honestly, it looked nothing like those two adorable fresh babies he held; instead this baby looked wrinkle and reddish. Yet, he knew the instant it was in his arms…he love this tiny being with all his heart.

Nancy stared in wonder at Ron’s expression as he held their daughter in his arms. He looked…awe, like he suddenly struck by lightening. She watched in glittering tears as Ron’s finger gently caressed the baby’s cheek and he started counting her fingers and toes.

“Ten…Ten…” He mumbled happily. Every fear…every doubt vanished when this little baby girl appeared in his world. It was amazing...how it fights its way into this world…into his arms. It was truly a miracle. He had never seen anything like this. With watery eyes, he looked into Nancy’s understanding eyes. “Thank you…” He whispered softly and moved toward her with the baby wailing in an unfamiliar environment.

Miles away, a siren echoed loudly as the ambulance strolled down the road. When they finally stopped at a stranded car in the middle of the road, the paramedics found a pair of loving parents comforting a wailing newborn baby…

He watched through the glass window as the nurse monitored their daughter’s heartbeat. His finger lingered on the panel, longing for the feel of his daughter’s soft cheeks. There was a rare kind of happiness and contentment in his heart he never felt. He smiled softly as the nurse nodded to him, informing him that everything was fine. He watched as the nurse went off to check on the other babies. Yet, his eyes continued to watch his child fidgeting on the crib. As his eyes took in the innocence and curiosity of his daughter’s round bright eyes, he sighed. Leaning against the glass, he recalled the event before all this happen…to the day before…

He entered the shop in eagerness and nervousness as the bell rang above him when he opened the door. It was a familiar coffee shop he often came with her, with the heavily coffee scent swirling in the air. He always enjoyed the relaxing and smoothing atmosphere of this shop, only a few blocks away from his office. Standing near the doorway, he scanned the customers until his eyes landed on her.

As he approached the table, he noticed that she was still the same. In a blue laced blouse and skirt, she was sitting straightly on one of the bench. He smiled when she was playing with the ice in her drink with her straw. Her hair was much longer and it was settled loosely on her shoulders. Yet, as he neared her, he felt that she was not the same. He couldn’t place his hand on what changed but…

She finally looked up when she sensed his presence. “Hello, Ron.” She smiled at him.

Settling down across from her, he absorbed her appearance. She was really here.

“Tavia…”

She smiled at how much emotions were expressed through that deep voice. “It is good to see you again.”

“Why?” He looked at her and ached to touch her.

Tavia pushed her drink away. “I wasn’t planning on coming back, Ron.” She looked out the glass window onto the street below with a sad expression. “I know I owned you a goodbye but…” She shrugged. “I guess you can blame me for leaving like that. However, our relationship was never normal…” She smiled. “Yet, I still believe it was for the best.”

Ron frowned.

“I know…I know what kind of man you are Ron. If I informed you of my intention, you will move heaven and earth to keep me. Even as we speak, the only reason you found me today is that you hired a private detective to track me.”

“You expected me.” He stated.

“Yes. The moment I entered Hong Kong, I knew you will know.”

Ron straightened. “If you didn’t want to come back…why?” He swallowed the sudden bitterness and pain emerging from the pit of his heart. He was expecting Tavia to be glad to see him. He was hoping that he could convince her to stay with him. However, one look into her eyes, he knew…it was too late.

Tavia sighed. “I knew it won’t do us good to see each other. We had a very complex and emotional history. Some are happy memories…others are…” She trailed off. “But it was our experiences and I won’t change any of it. It was what shaped us. Ron…” She placed her hand on top of his. “No matter what, you are a very vital part of my life. I am not what I am today without you. Therefore, it took me awhile until I agree to come back.”

Ron ignored the feeling of being on the edge of grasping his heart’s true desire and it was sudden pulled from his reach. “Agree?”

Tavia smiled. “When I left you, I went to search for myself. I traveled as far as Finland, wander a few days in Canada, and went to see the sunset in Australia…until I finally settled down. I never expected anyone to find me…but someone did.” She smiled knowingly. “I never met her. But I only knew one person in my past that was pregnant.” Ron gasped. “Never in a million years would I expect to see the woman who I had an affair with her husband standing there.”

“How…? What…?” Ron was too flustered to talk.

She shrugged. “How? Apparently, she knew someone in the U.S. who hired a P.I to track me. As for why she seeks me out…” Tavia looked away in sadness. “She knew, Ron. She knew we had been having an affair for years behind her back. Yet, she didn’t came to look for me as a justified wife. She asked me for a flavor.” She looked straight into Ron’s eyes. “She believed I am the only person in this world that could convince you to stop what you are doing.”

Ron was speechless.

Tavia shook her head. “She believed I would be able to stop you from hurting yourself and everyone around you.” She chuckled softly. “But no one can, Ron. No one…except you. You have always told me that fulfilling your father’s wish was everything to you…but look around you. Just like your father, you would lose everything that is important. You won ‘Essence’ but tell me, Ron, are you happy? Your brother is hiding from your reality, your sons are being isolated from you, and your wife… only a desperate woman would go so far as helping you.”

Tavia looked away. “I never expected to come back…but when a pregnant woman almost begged me to go back to her husband, even someone as cold as ice would be moved. Ron…” She leaned over toward him. “Don’t take what you have for granted. You have a family. Your wife loves you. Turn back now and cherish them…Before it is too late. Before you realize that when you finally turned around, there is no one left.”

Ron couldn’t…wouldn’t accept this…because if he did, it meant that everything he every strived for in life would just be ashes. “Nancy doesn’t love me.” He looked away.

“You keep telling yourself that but answer me…” She waited for Ron to turn toward her. “If she doesn’t love you, would she came all the way to the U.S. to convince me to come back? If she doesn’t love you, would she be carrying your child? Ron…no women in this universe would have three children with a man she doesn’t love and agreed to stay in a loveless marriage.” When Ron was about to argue, Tavia stopped him with her hand. “Do you know how I realize how much she loves you?...I asked her. I asked her why she was doing this. Do you know what she told me? She looked me in the eyes and told me ‘Because you are the only woman Ron had ever loved.’.”

Tavia paused. “There were tears in her eyes…and a steel determination that I would be able to help. Yet, from woman to woman, I saw…I saw the despair in her eyes. When I asked her why she would stay in a loveless marriage with you… She told me… ‘Not every woman is as lucky as you, to have someone who loves you. Some women just have to accept what there is…’.”

Watching the stunned look on Ron’s face, Tavia turned to leave. She had came and said everything she intended.

“Look into your heart, Ron. You could have the whole world…but when you looked down from the top from your position, you would realize…you are all alone.”

With a finally advice, she stepped out of his life… and never turned back.

Confidence.

That’s the difference in Tavia, Ron realized. She was no longer that sweet, helpless girl he met and fell in love with. She had discovered herself. A part of his heart was happy for her, yet, the selfish part of him was grieving that Tavia no longer needed him. She had found her life and it had nothing to do with him.

Ron closed his eyes, letting past memories dissolve in his mind.

…And let what he had learned enter his mind.

If he had any doubt of what Tavia stated, it was dash the instant he watched Nancy gave birth to their daughter. It was at that instant he realize what Tavia meant. Yet, admitting that Nancy had feeling for him could only add to the mountain of guilt he felt in her presence.

Lost…

He had never been lost in his life before…and now…

Standing at an interaction, he was forced to choose between the two roads ahead of him.

May god help him for he had lost all sense of direction…

Meanwhile, across town, two people were engaged in a serious discussion of how to defeat him.

She crossed her legs and opened the file in front of her. “I went over my father’s documents and all those transactions he recorded in his files as the attorney of this company.” Myolie frowned. “It was strange. He recorded a transaction of transferring 3% of its share to a woman called Elizabeth Mai. However, there was no specific contract or even the sales on record.”

“Maybe Aunty might know something about this woman. At that time, aunty was still an active member of ‘Essence’.” Raymond was picking up the phone when Moses entered with three cups of coffee.

“Here…” Moses placed the cups on the conference table when Raymond hanged up.

“She is not picking up.” He smiled. “I guess the wedding is taking up all of her time…but I will ask her when I get home tonight.”

Myolie nodded while Moses scanned through the files on the table. He sipped his coffee and frowned.

“What’s wrong?” Myolie asked when she caught the frown on his face.

“What is my mother’s name doing on this document?”

Instantly, Raymond and Myolie stared at each other and then turned their heads toward Moses simultaneously.

“What?” Moses looked at them with a clueless expression.

“Elizabeth Mai is your mother?”

“Yeah, Mai is her maiden name.” Moses frowned. “Now can you tell me what is going on?”

Myolie explained to Moses that his mother owned 3% of ‘Essence’ shares. “Moses, do you know what happened to those shares when your mother passed away?”

He shook his head. “My father handled all my financial matter and I doubt we can ask him…but maybe Steven knows since he is my lawyer.”

Myolie nodded and started dialing Steven’s number.

“Do you know what this might mean?” Raymond said to Moses.

“Yeah…” He smiled and took a sip from his cup. “We might win this.”

Myolie hanged up. “Steven said he will look into it and call us back.”

“Well, I guess all we can do is to wait now. The meeting is tomorrow. Essence’s fate would be determined then…” He unfolded his arms and stood up. “As for now, I am going to pick Maddie up from school.”

As Moses closed the door behind him, Raymond laughed out loud. “The irony of life. One moment we were discussing ways to save ‘Essence’… the next we are doing something as normal as picking up our daughter from school. So… what do you say… Dinner?”

Myolie was busy organizing the files when what Raymond said penetrated her mind. “Dinner?” She looked at Raymond and frowned. “Well, I guess we can discuss our strategy for dinner tonight…” She stood up. “Sure. I’ll tell Moses.” She turned to go when Raymond placed his hand on her arm.

“Myolie…”

She turned around toward him.

“I mean dinner as in you and me.”

She frowned. “What are you getting at, Raymond?” She looked at him suspiciously.

“It’s just dinner, Myolie.” He sighed. “I know there are many unresolved issues between us…but we are still very good friends.” He said sadly. “Would you…would you have dinner with me tonight?”

Myolie desperately wanted to say no. Why add salt to a bleeding wound? Yet, looking into his adorable and silly expression with a hint of anxiety to it, she smiled softly at him.

“Yes.”

His face relaxed and an unexplainable sense of pleasure spread through his chest.

He was whistling when he entered the house. With his keys still dangling in his hand, he closed the door behind him. Turning around, he continued whistling with his mind on where he was planning to take Myolie tonight.

As he turned toward the dinning room, he sudden stopped in his track.

The key dropped onto the carpet without making any noise.

He watched in complete stillness as the person sitting in his living room stood up and turned toward him.

“Hello, Raymond.”

Well, what do you think? This is sort of an intense chapter and I hate to post it in such a way...does it ruin the effect? (^v^) Anyway, please leave a comment on what you think!

An Uninvited Date: Red-Eyes=Red Apple=Satan?

Yesterday, Raymond participated in the costume fitting for his latest drama, An Uninvited Date. Honestly, this character is like a dream come true for me. For those who know me, I am a crazy fan on supernatural themes and stories. Imagine my surprise when Raymond have the role of a Satan-like character who are not only supernatural but he is evil!

The costume was a little disappointment because I was expecting something more...unique. However, I love the red eyes. I was kind of expecting a 'punk' like Satan with a dark gang member costume but judging from his outfit, he is probably a sophisticated Satan with polish...

Overall, this will be my most anticipated series so far. I can't wait for more news and pictures of this drama! Wonderful! (^v^)

JSG: Float or Sink?

It was Sunday morning when I turned to the entertainment section of the Chinese newspaper. Knowing about the JSG award ceremony taken place last night, I curiously look at the award list. Seriously, my first reaction was…I laughed. The award list was like a list of EEG artist list. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Let’s see…

Joey Yung- 7 awards
Leo Ku- 3 awards
Raymond Lam- 2.5 awards
Charlene Choi- 2 awards
Sherman Chung- 2 awards
William Chan- 1 awards
Vincy Chan- 1 awards (2 duets)

Wow…TVB are not even trying to cover up that they are being obvious…but what can you do? It’s TVB. If they favor you, you can be the top over night…if not, you better have another door waiting for you. Anyway, I can’t comment much on the TVB and ‘Big 4’ company conflicts because…well, I can care less. Everyday I look at the news and it is like watching a soap opera, I can’t wait to see what happens next. LOL! (I know I am being mean.) I think it is known that the HK music industry is on a downhill stream because of the lack of talents and varieties. Ever since Joey, Hacken, and Eason got the same awards years after years, I lost completely interest in JSG. It’s like watching Christmas Carol where you know the plot and the outcome. No surprise! You know the awards would go to either Joey or Miriam and Eason or Hacken. Boring! Like my mother keep saying…Where is the competition! What would happen to the next generation???

Okay, back to the award, come on! Honestly, you know something is just not fair in life. JSG is one of them. I am not blaming them or anything…come on! Is any award ceremony fair? Honestly? If push comes to shovel, they will respect the public opinion only…and I mean ONLY if it will cause a riot. (A good example is Wayne Lai.) So…this award list is not completely unexpected because there is really no way they are giving it to the artists they are boycotting against. In this case, Hacken, Eason, and Hins suffer great losses. However, when someone loses, someone benefit. In this case, it will have to be Joey, Leo, Raymond and Sherman. Seven awards is a very high number for awards in JSG and Leo may have some competition with other male singer for the Best male singer award. Yet, the most shocking moment of the entire show have to be Raymond getting the Asian Pacific Award. Although I personally think he deserve this award with his concert/music tour around Asia and his popularity, he won’t have gotten the award if it wasn’t the incident with TVB & Big 4. I am not sure how this would affect Raymond because it isn’t his fault. All he can do now is to prove to those that doubted him that he deserves it. Just like how he was to have his first concert, people doubted him but after concerts and concerts, he improved tremendously proving many people wrong. I hope in this scenario, he would make them swallow their tongue! LOL!

Lastly, I want to go back to my title of this post. JSG: Float or Sink? After 2009 awards ceremony, either JSG would lose it prestigious as one of the big awards in anticipation from the public or it will sustain its name until next years…Sadly, it seems like the first holds true…

Steven Ma

Many of you may not know this but my favorite idol, before Raymond Lam, was Steven Ma. Ever since Ultra Protection in 1999, through On the Track or Off in 2001, till A Journey Called Life, Steven had always been one of my favorite TVB actor. Furthermore, his singing was also one of the reason why I like him so much. He is amazingly talented in his singing, especially for a powerful themesong, like Seung Fei (想飛) and Break Through (突圍). Overall, he still remain one of my favorite throughout these years.

I am extremely happy that he is being promoted (not over but he is giving more chance and opportunities) this year. Currently, TVB is airing A Watchdog's Tale and I heard it is pretty good and funny. (I haven't watch it yet but I will wait till the entire series is out first) He had three series this year, 'The Legend of Pu Song Ling', 'The Stars of Love', and 'Transferred Connection Temptation' (Did they change the name yet?) Anyway, I am looking forward to 'Pu Song Ling' because of the supernatural theme and 'Transferred' because I want to see his chemistry with Fala Chan. In addition, I heard he will focus on his music career this year with a new CD. I really can't wait to hear it because I simply love his voice.

Finally, I would just like to wish him a successful year and I hope to enjoy his works!

Mysterious of Love Trailer

OMG! I am so happy and exciting right now! I was deep in my studies and work when I went over to Raymond's discussion forum and discover the new FungYi series Trailer! Imagine my surprise and my joy! I can't express how exciting I am because it was not what I expected. I am not sure what I expected but usually I don't put too much hope on TVB sales presentation but this time....I love it! I guess I will point out what I love...hehe...

1) The Overwhelming Effect. At first when I heard of this series involving cases, I imagine something small because there isn't much news on this series and it is not high profile. However, this trailer prove me wrong because first there is the huge lab (Very cool), the explosion, the wide city shoot, all gave me a 'Wow' feeling. Even though it is similar to FH, I like adding the mysterious factor into it.

2) The Love Story. The contrast between the two main love story in this series are a very interesting factor. On one side, there is the dreaming/classical love between Raymond and Tavia. A love story where a silly, yet lovable girl fall for a 'prince' in which they would have to overcome a certain amount of obstacles to be together. Adding the modern touch to it, where one is a cop and the other is a 'logic' professor in a mysterious and intense setting is a sure capture of audience's heart. Meanwhile, on the other side, Kenneth and his 'girlfriends' reflected the sensational aspects, giving us a very modern approach and view on relationships.

3) Raymond. Come on! You should know he is on the list. Anyway, as I mention before when I first saw Raymond's hair cut, I was really disappointed. However, later on I started thinking...Raymond always look good on screen and I never trust photographer. So I got my answer. I love Raymond's looks here! Tavia is agreeing with me on this one! (...the way she was staring at him through his car window) I love his personality in this series especially when he analyzed 'love' with a physic logic. LOL! Anyway, I am surprise that he will be under threat in this series. (Bet, it is near the end) Love to see that!

4) Tavia. Wow. I was expecting a silly and down-to-earth cop... I wasn't expecting a girl that melt my heart with her adorable expression. When I heard about Tavia's character, a strong righteous cop with very true feelings, I know I will love her character. (What's not to love?) However, after the trailer I realize this girl could really steal my heart. I absolutely love her expression when she bitten her lips and let her head fall onto Raymond's arm. This is going to be one of my favorite pairing in the waiting!

OMG! I am getting way too exciting! I need to wait patiently for this series but... wow... I need it fast! LOL!

Weather Forecast: BTROC

(Haha! Note: I have given up on BR. It is not that it is not good, it is just that I have time for only one series and it has to be BTROC!)

Currently, on episode 11, (btw, for those who don't want spoiler, please kindly close your eyes *joking*) Moses finally shred his 10 year old act and become the true king. I am sorry to say, I am going to miss him and his little sugar treat. It is amazing how Moses can turn from silly to royal in the blink of an eye but he look so handsome in that black robe. However, I feel bad for his situation. I am dying to see how he 'hook up' with Tavia and Selena. Still, I really like his character, especially the way he looks at Charmaine. Now there is a guy who got it bad.

Kevin...Kevin...Kevin... I never like Kevin in ancient because it just doesn't seem right. Yes, he looks handsome (a little on the skinny side) but I feel weird when he is on screen. No offend to Kevin's fan, I just like him a lot better in Modern.

Based on what is happening so far, I am rooting for Moses and Charmaine. (I even have an urge to pair them up in my next story) Their story is so lovely, there is friendship, trust, faith, hope, and purity. However, I honestly don't want them to end up together because keeping it this way is the best, instead of being overshadow by the corruption of the palace. I hope whenever in the future, I see Moses and Charmaine, it will be a reminder of their childhood.

Charmaine and Kevin...I can't help but feel that it is similar to that Korean series, except taking it one step farther. I understand their mutual admiration but love is too fast. I mean Kevin actually told Charmaine to run away with him. Do you think that is too impulsive for someone like Kevin? I was hoping for more of their eye contact which transit their feeling toward each other. Anyway, I have already guess the ending for those two in some spoilers. So, I will wait and see what happen. (Yet, both of them look really refreshing and natural in appearance.)

Tavia...when are you going to start scheming? I know she started hurting other for revenge and feeling unfair because Charmaine is climbing faster than her but I can't help but wonder when is the turning point for her. At this point, we know what kind of character is play, a girl who is trying to strive to be the top because she couldn't take being inferior, however, we still need to see the point that will trigger her to go all the way without turning back. Somehow I feet they should put more time on Tavia's development. As of now, they focus too much on Michelle and Susanna ( don't get me wrong, I think they are suspend but I want more on Tavia...and Selena!) Anyway, Tavia is still treating Charmaine as her only true friends. Their bond are strong but I can't wait to see what changes it to push both parties to the point of no return.

P.S. I am so happy Edwin is dead. LOL!

Weather Forecast: Born Rich & Beyond the Realm of Conscience

Hey, everyone

(Don't think I am free or anything! I am losing sleep doing this but I can't help it! (^v^)!)

I decided to create a topic "Weather Forecast" where I will express my opinions and thoughts on what I am watching now, especially TVB. So when you see WF, it is probably a review on an episode I watch or a series. Anyway, I thought it will be fun...since I am Breeze!

So, I just finish the first episode each of BR and BTROC. Honestly, I love BTROC first episode. The costumes are pretty (Good for the eyes...Hehe...) The people are beautiful (Well...some...LOL) and I really don't expect the episode to start off with a BANG then it traveled back in time. I know...I know...it spoiled what will happen near the end but I like this guessing what will lead to this and that. (Honestly, for those who are anticipating it, we know some of the spoiler anyway...not as if they are keeping it a secret or anything.) Going off topic again, Breeze.

I didn't realize I would like Charmaine's character so much. Yes, she is the good one...from the start till the end but this is a series. I have enough with realistic as of now. She made me believe there is good. (Not that naive but...yeah) Anyway, I think she was like the one pure spot out of all the palace dark and gray. Mostly, I enjoy the little girl who portray her. Wow, she knows how to cry to touch people's heart...and that song. When I first heard it by Charmaine, I find it to be a little cute but not heartwarming. Now that it is like the 'faith' song between mother and daughter. I can't get it out of my head. Plus, I have to say, Charmaine looks the best in ancient costume. She look absolutely beautiful.

Now lets move on...I don't know why but since I have been anticipating for Tavia's role of evil. I thought I will be rooting for her but (Sorry, Tavia's fan) I am rooting for Charmaine here...well, maybe because the storyline didn't focus on Tavia much so far...when they start showing how she turned evil...I might switch. (Yeah, I change my mind faster than a roller coaster) Anyway, Tavia's acting never disappointment me. I guess I will just have to wait and see more...somehow I know I am going to be impress but if I am expecting it...is it impress?

Let's turn over to BR, now there is a complete contrast. Honestly, I fast forward the beginning. (Bad, Breeze) I just find it not too interesting because of the actor and actress. Don't get me wrong, their acting is great...it's just that I need to get a little familiar with them. (By the way, I think that guy is hot...Okay, searching for his name right now....wait...Ray? No, I don't think I can think of him as Ray, for you all know who is my Ray. LOL!) However, what surprise me the most is Joe and Anita...I was never too fond of them but they have such chemistry. I think I am looking forward to this pair. I am surprise that Gallen isn't introduce first but it was understandable. Btw, Nancy's slap woke up my interest. It was that family crisis and the discover of the 'Safe Deposit Box' that made the series start getting exciting and suspenseful for me! Moving toward Music

Since I haven't updated my blog regularly, I decided to write something...Anything. Well, this post is inspired by Myolie Wu's newest MV. As we all know, many artists are moving toward the music industry. (Weeell...not many but Kevin, Raymond, Myolie, Linda, Kate, Bosco...etc.) I don't know how to feel about it because I personally haven't been follow the HK music industry. Don't get me wrong, I do know who is who... LOL...However, I think I stop listening to HK music for a while now. I did occasionally find a good song but really they stopped sparking my interest.

Anyhow, when TVB started 'experimenting' their artists into the music industry I knew it could be a disaster coming... They started off by 'pushing' Ron, Raymond and Kevin into the music market with the production of "All About Men", a collaborated CD with TVB male lead and a few HK singers (Eason). Okay, so prepare for a brief history lesson. First, they pushed Ron in the music market. Note the word 'Push'. Personally, I felt like TVB or whoever it was in the management department decided since Ron's popularity sky rocket at that time, they decided to threw him into an unfamiliar footing, without any preparation. I can't say it was a disaster but in truth, Ron had some many room for improvement. Most importantly, he wasn't ready. I remember watching the "All About Men" concert and my heart literally broke for Ron. The poor man was so nervous, I felt his hand shaking. I blamed TVB for this. Honestly, Ron is not a good singer but he could be better with the right amount of training. You can't simply expected him to go out there and sing when he have no background training. So... Bad TVB.

Now, shall we move on. Kevin, Kevin, Kevin... In contrast to Ron, he had the most training as a singer. The guy started off as a singer before he turned to acting. Therefore, he can't really disappoint you but... Expect for having a well-known 'Master', Kevin was pretty much lacking in promotion in this area. This artist can sing but his voice is more in the 'past generation' tune. Therefore, TVB kept him in the acting department with opportunities like theme song and such as side dish...

Ah, Raymond. This goes without saying for he was the most successful out of the three but it didn't mean he had it easy at first. Let's say he was filming series after series before he got the chance in the music industry. It goes without saying that he had been giving the opportunity to sing throughout his career as an actor but he was never giving the chance to be label 'Singer' until his popularity in HOG. Many will think that Raymond just popped out as a singer and in two years, he had a concert but he had accumulated all his fans throughout his acting career and when he released his first album along with the promotion of both his series, it is easy to assume the outcome. Honestly, it was good on TVB part to make him into a singer at that precise time.

Let's move on to Bosco. Hm... I am not going to comment much here but after that EP...He sort of have no new. Out of the three that year (with Myolie and Linda), he was the only male and the one with the less publicity. Call me wrong but I felt he was kind of overshadowed by Myolie and Linda.

Mentioning Bosco, a lot of people will think of Myolie. (Sorry, I am not one of them.) Anyway, it is to be said that Myolie will have her second album this month. Honestly, I think Myolie's music company do promote her in a lot of functions. In almost every song, she has a MV and she had already been collaborated with Vincent Wong, Kevin Cheng, and Chilam Cheung. As for potential, she does have it and she have a very strong voice; however, she still need experiences and training on stage. Yet, she did improved tremendously...and her music career seem hopeful.

Hm...Linda... She, unlike the other, are trying on a slightly different image by testing water on writing a few of her songs. Focusing on love story, her second album is rumored to be out in November, especially since her first was such a success. She could sing but her voice is very unstable in live performance and it goes without saying that she need a lot more practice. However, I don't see any problem with her second album this year.

Ah, Kate. Our newest member into the music industry. Somehow, I can't shake the feeling of Ron's situation all over again. They are highly promoting her, especially her dancing and her style, but is that enough for her music career. Would she be in the category of a one-hit-back to acting or is she here for the long haul?

Personal Note: Haha...I didn't realize I am rumbling again. Anyway, I know I am lacking behind on Illumination but I am so busy! However, I did find time to work a little on my upcoming story. I can't wait until I am free of stress!

Hey, I decided to post some old posters that I made way WAY back in the old days. LOL! Seriously, it is only a few years old but it seem ancient to me. Anyway, most of them are stories that I planned to write but never got to...Yeah, you know the feeling...It is in my head but I never took the energy to write it. So...Here goes... (Seriously, I think they are really...urgh... but tell me what you think...hehe...)

This old is about a year old. I didn't planned this story but it came to me one day but instead of writing it, I decided to made a poster and forgot about it. LOL!

This one is very old. You can actually tell because I was called Raymeila at that time. Anyway, I love puppies and dogs; therefore, I started this but I lack inspiration!

Same as the prior one, this one is so old I can't remember the story but I am just posting it up for no reason at all.

This has a very interesting storyline. I might actually write it sometimes in the future but I won't use this poster. I just put it together really fast. I don't think it is finish...

Ah! This one is recent. I really like this plot but I lack inspiration; therefore, it is on hold for now till...who knows when.

Hey!

Before school officially start, I want to give this blog a new face! What do you think? Haha! I want to make the center body transparent...but I tried so many time and it still didn't work. Anyone know how? I will really appreciate it!

Okay, just to give you all an update on my latest progress. I should be able to post another chapter of Illumination by/at this weekend. I'm working on the second chapter already. I definitely need to speed things along...but no pressure, right? As for Dusk of Dawn, I am currently putting it on hold until I finish Illumination. I still haven't decide the next short stories. Based on the poll, Tavia won by, as the saying goes, approximately nine blocks. As of now, next came Myolie...then Linda. I can't promise you that this is the order but I will try my best to make Tavia's story come next...since there are so many supporter. However, it will still be a while because of school and everything...(By the way, where are all the Charray's fans? I expected Rady to get 0 but Charray??? Hehe...)

Anyhow, I need to go to sleep now! Goodnight!

宮心計: Beyond the Realm of Conscience

I just finished watching the BTROC trailer (Mandarin Version). I know...I know I'm late but you all know that I'm a huge fan of Raymond; therefore, I mostly follow his news. It was when I look for the Growing through Life trailer that I found the BTROC trailer as well.

I got to say that I wasn't putting much high hope on this because I don't like War and Beauty (Am I the only one?) and I usually don't like series about king and concubines fighting over him but this trailer took me by surprise. I was looking forward to this series because of my two favorite actresses, Charmaine and Tavia. Of course, there are Moses and Kevin as well as experience actresses like Michelle and Susanna. Now, I got to watch it. However, I haven't been following the news...so basically I don't know who plays who and what is what. All I saw was the Sales Presentation and I got to say that I love Tavia playing evil.

Anyway, back to the afterthought of seeing the trailer. I got really hype about it because I like the fact that it started off with friendship between Charmaine and Tavia. They started off from being just a minor role in the palace to becoming two of the main player of the fate of the palace. One plans to overturn it and the other tries to save it. I believe from the first scene that they grew up together with a promise to look out for each other...Now they turned into rivals/enemies.

Honestly, I really like Charmaine's costume at the very end, she looks so beautiful and elegant. Her character, I believe, should be the strong and righteous heroine who accepted what fate threw in her path and bite her teeth through it. However, I got to say that the trailer didn't say much about her, except the conflict surrounding her, but I like her character already. However, the most confusing thing was her relationship with Kevin and Moses. I believe she is in love with Kevin and Moses was in love with her but...then Kevin might/might not (probably the might not) died. The mystery is how Charmaine became Mose's concubine??? If truth be told, I would prefer if she stay faithful to Kevin. However, Moses love probably touch her in some way... By the way, I saw a very beautiful bed scene with Charmaine and...who? I can't tell if it is Kevin or Moses? (Rooting for Kevin) LOL! Yeah, I don't really root for Kings because they already have too many ladies to count.

To Tavia's side of the story, I think she is rather the more inner girl in the beginning and when she got her power she became more true on the surface. I don't really believe her to sacrifice herself for Charmaine instead I think she is rather a scheming type of girl. She had been dealt with the bad side in life, seeing the harsh reality of the palace from her low position. She did everything in her power to gain high power and position...and the simplest and fastest way is no other than seduce the most powerful man in the country, Moses. I can't wait to see this. Honestly, I really like Tavia's character because I always love me a evil pretty character. Haha! Plus there is the process of watching her turn evil is also a must because I dislike evil character simply because they are evil.

In addition, other than Charmaine & Tavia, I want to see Selena as well. I don't know much about her character but since she is the king's concubine and Tavia tried to poison her. I want to see what is her character like...

As for Kevin and Moses, I don't feel much for them because their conflicts are with the traitor and Charmaine...However, there is not much other their characters.

Overall, I can't wait to see it! It's the most anticipated for me in 2009!

My Fave Five Pairing

As school is quickly approaching, I realize that my free time is limited. I still have a load of things to do but the most urgent is finishing up Illumination, especially since I know during the school year it will be almost impossible to write/update often. Basically, I can't promise anything but I will promise I will try my best. In the meantime, my new story (the one coming after Illumination) keep creeping up on me. The plot is getting more and more interesting (to me anyway) I would like to start writing it soon but...I need to finish this one!

Anyway, so I am not sure are any of you are interested and curious about my favorite pairing...since I just post the top 5 Raymond's pairing. Well, honestly, I don't have a definite Raymond pairing...I am almost fine with whoever he is pairing as long as there is chemistry and the plot is good. However, I guess I will just post my fave five as of now and why...

(Not in any particular order)

1) Raymond Lam and Leila Tong : I sometime have a tendency of choosing/rooting for the opposite of the majority. I doubt there is many Raymeila's fan, since they only have one series together. However, I always like Leila's acting and, of course, I love Raymond. Yeah, so usually in polls when I see no one vote for them, I vote for Leila and Raymond because I like to go against everyone else. LOL!

2) Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung : As you all may know, I love to read and write fanfiction. This couple is in my fave five mostly because of fanfictions. Seriously, I like them because of all their fans and their off-screen interaction. Mainly because I don't like the two time they are paired together. I hope their new series would make me like them ever more!

3) Raymond Lam and Bernice Liu : Basically, I love Bernice's carefree and shining personality; therefore, when she is paired up with Raymond in most of their functions, I can't help but like this couple. In addition, I really enjoy their interaction in real life! Oh, they look rather nice together, don't you agree? Hehe...

4) Raymond Lam and Charmaine Sheh: One word...actually one series. The Drive of Life. How often do I see a series where Raymond act so free and comfortable with his partner? Plus, I believe I see the most kissing scene from him in this series. Haha! Come on, you have to remember the epic scene on the bus, right? Yeah, got to love that!

5) Raymond Lam and Nancy Wu : Surprise? Yeah, I didn't really think about this too much but I really want to see a Nancy and Raymond pairing. She has a very sweet and upbeat personality. Therefore, I hope TVB will start promoting her to lead, so I can watch a Rancy pairing!

Hi, are you wondering where did Myolie, Linda, and Selena went??? Yeah, they are my fave too but at this point if I have to chose...yeah. I bet in a few month this will change...

Special Raymond Lam's Top 5 Pairing

Pairing: 4 (Eternal Happiness, Survivor's Law, The Drive of Life, The Master of Tai Chi)
Collaboration: 5 (Eternal Happiness, Golden Faith, Survivor's Law, The Drive of Life, The Master of Tai Chi)

Ever since Myolie outstanding performance in Golden Faith as a mental disable, she had been highly promoted by TVB into the Fa Dan category. Therefore, it is no wonder that she paired with Raymond for a total number of 4 times, starting from her minor role in Eternal Happiness to one of the leading roles in The Master of Tai Chi. Since these two had been promoted at almost the same time, they have many opportunities to work together.

(Notes: Honestly, I was actually kind of surprise that Raymond paired up with Myolie the most. Maybe it is the fact that they are often a part of a triangle (square) love story. For this pairing, I remember I enjoyed their chemistry in EH but it was in SL that I fell in love with them. One thing I find rather amusing is that in those four series, two of them is when Myolie loves Raymond but they never end up together and the other two times where Raymond loves Myolie, they end up together.)

Tavia Yeung
Pairing: 3 (Golden Faith, Twin of Brothers, Shall We State the Case)
Collaboration: 8 (Eternal Happiness, Golden Faith, Twin of Brothers, Yummy Yummy, Face to Fate, Heart of Greed, Moonlight Resonance, Shall We State the Case)

Both Tavia and Raymond have a long history together in the entertainment business. They started from the beginning in TVB acting class where they were classmates to now the leading roles of series with a large base of fans from all around the countries. Being in TVB for more than ten years, they had as many as 8 collaborations in various series. Although out of their 8 collaboration, they only managed to pair up three times, both Raymond and Tavia always provide solid performances and illustrated great chemistry off and onscreen.

(Notes: It seems like for the first two pairing which is in 2002, they didn't actually have a good ending, either Raymond goes to jail or he died. Personally, I believe Twin of Brothers is the series that showed me how much chemistry is between these two, especially since they both look beautiful/handsome in ancient series.)

Michelle Ye
Pairing: 2 (Lofty Waters Verdant Bow, Eternal Happiness)
Collaboration: 3 (Lofty Waters Verdant Bow, Eternal Happiness, Golden Faith)

This couple has to be the most likable and promoted when they first paired up as newbies. TVB has been trying to promote Michelle and give a chance to Raymond in Eternal Happiness. This set out the craze for teenagers for these two young and compatible couple. With the comedy romance in EH to the tragic love story in LWVB, fans are rooting for this couple. However, for the last few series before Michelle left, she seems to be getting more second-lead roles. Finally, she left TVB to take a chance outside in ATV and the movie industry. Truthfully, if Michelle stayed in TVB, she will have more chance to pair up with Raymond and this couple may become the favorite of TVB.

(Notes: EH is one of my all time favorite because of the chemistry between Michelle and Raymond. I absolute adore Raymond here and I believe his role in EH made me fell in love with this actor. I still remember in the old days when Winglin.com is bombarded with RayMic fan fiction. I had written one at that time, too. It was horrible. My first time…Oh well…LOL! This couple is lucky enough to get a storyline that are solely on romance and love. However, with Michelle gone from TVB, it is unlikely they will reunited anytime soon in the future. )

Charmaine Sheh
Pairing: 2 (Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion, The Drive of Life)
Collaboration: 3 (Yummy Yummy, Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion, The Drive of Life)

Putting the age difference aside, Charmaine and Raymond must be the pairing with the most nature chemistry. In LWOLAP, they convince us of their chemistry and acting but it is in The Drive of Life that we see the most natural interaction. Charmaine started off much sooner than Raymond and it was almost unlikely that they would pair up because of the age and promotion difference. Yet, they prove us wrong with their outstanding performance in LWOLAP and then their pairing in TDOL. Being close friends off-screen, they managed to gain many fans and supporters.

(Notes: I would like to say that Raymond act the most carefree and natural in front of Charmaine, especially in their kissing scene. Being a Raymond’s fan for so long, I was quite surprise when Raymond kissed Charmaine without holding back. It felt natural, not like kissing for the sake of the plot or with a small sense of uneasiness since they are onscreen. Personally, their pairing causes me to open my eyes to Charmaine. )

Linda Chung
Pairing: 2 (Heart of Greed, Moonlight Resonance)
Collaboration: 2 (Heart of Greed, Moonlight Resonance)

This couple sort of give us the feeling of high school sweethearts. Their popularity rise through to the storyline and success of HOG. In addition, their rumors of dating also spiced up their popularity, causing them to become targets of many media attention. Both Raymond and Linda have the compatibilities in look wise because of Raymond’s youth and charm paired with Linda's innocence and sweetness.

(Notes: I really enjoy watching Raymond and Linda in HOG. They looked very nice together and since their plot is revolving around romance, it made them into a very sweet couple. However, the attempt to reenact this in MR was an complete failure because their plot lack substance. In addition, the constant linkage between those two in the media does have an negative effect on some of their fans.)

Japanese Galileo VS HK Galileo:Shall We State the Case (Part 2)

My two cents on "Shall we state the case" costume fitting:

Raymond Lam: His costume gave me the most surprise. Seriously, I thought he just came from one of this album promotion or something. In addition, he look rather young and sophisticated as a physic professor. However, since I am not sure how his character will be portrayed I won't comment too much. Compared to the Japanese version, the professor mostly wear a suit or his lab coat. However, when he is doing sports, he dressed very sporty and sexy.

The only thing we know so far is that Raymond is going to be a professor that explained everything with physic. This is similar to the original. However, we can already see the difference in style because Raymond dressed more trendy and the reporter exposed that he is from the upper class. In the picture above, I'm pretty sure this is a family picture or that they are co-worker in the university. Either way, we can see that it is shouting professional and class.

Tavia Yeung: Typical. Her costume was seen in multiple police series but it would be the first time on Tavia. However, her costume will definitely change after she enter CID under Kenneth. Therefore, I can't comment much on her style. In the Japanese version, the detective always wear dark color clothes, whether it is a sweater or her coat. She always carry her briefcase. In a way, I kind of hope Tavia would let her long hair down similar to the detective. She would look very pretty that way.

Kenneth Ma: His role shock me the most. A smart detective who love to play around. It seems like in the interview he will have three or more girlfriends. He also reveals that for the first five episodes, he would have many intimate scenes with his co-star and bed scenes. I have to say that this sound like a very interesting character. In the Japanese version, I believe he is similar to the actor who were promoted to another department while the rookie detective replaced his place. In the entire series, he only appeared a handful of time but he look rather charming and handsome, similar to Kenneth, except there is nothing to his personal life.

Bernice Liu: Beautiful. We almost know nothing about her role except that she is one of Kenneth's girlfriend and she looks very beautiful and smart. At this point, we are not too sure how big her role is because it was said that she was a big guest role. (Maybe like Alfred?) However, she is definitely not in the original. Hopeful, she will play an important role that are brilliant and charming.

***This will be the last time I will mention the Japanese Drama because I really don't want to compare them any longer. Instead, I will concentrate on "Shall we state the case". ***

Japanese Detective Galileo VS HK Detective Galileo (Part I)

First of all, I would like to say that this title is misleading, especially since I know nothing about the HK Detective Galileo except it's costume fitting is in two days. In addition, it is say that HK Detective Galileo is inspired by the Japanese one; therefore, I'm not sure how much the producer will take from the original. Since I just finish watching the Japanese Galileo, I decided to post a prior-to-costume fitting to after-costume fitting (assuming that there will be more information).

Prior warning: Spoiler Ahead.

Well, I got to say that I fell in love with this drama. I love the entire concept with solving crime through science (I always love science.) and the main characters. This has to be the first Japanese drama I ever watch and I find myself enjoying it tremendously, even though it was a little irritating to focus on the screen while trying to keep up with the English subtitle, I find it very satisfying. One thing I like most about it is that they manage to solve the mystery in every episode. This way I didn't have to wait for two or three episodes before a mystery would be solve. Another thing is, the crime wasn't too gruesome. I admit that I'm a person that can be easily spook but this drama didn't spook me out. Instead, in a sense, it is similar to Forensic Heroes. It kept me in a constant stage of curiosity and anticipation. I have to admit that in one or two cases, I can almost predict what happened and who was the killer but they always added something more to surprise me. I like to be surprise.

One reason I believe why this drama was such a success was the chemistry between the two main leads. Professor Yukawa Manabu and Detective Utsumi Kaoru have so much chemistry. They are the complete opposite with different views on life but they managed to bring out the best in each other. Professor Yukawa is a brilliant scientist who explained and viewed everything with physics and science. He believe that anything can be explained through science experiments and equations. In addition, he is not only handsome but he do everything perfect, whether it is sports or cooking. His true passion in life is science, which led to his continuous involvement with Detective Utsumi, a rookie detective who is passionate about solving crimes. She is persistence, determine, and emotional. She constantly asked Yukawa for help but she admired his brilliance and she knew he will find out the mystery behind the case. Most often, he find out the how and she find out the why. In a way, they are the perfect partner, the perfect fit.

Yet, the greatest regret in this drama was that there was nothing romantic involve between those two. In several episodes, I could felt the trust and admiration from Utsumi to Yukawa and in some instantaneous I felt Utsumi is important to Yukawa but there was no dying love or even hand holding. It was in the last episode when they hugged that I realized Utsumi is a head shorter than Yukawa. Imagine my surprise! Haha! In ten episodes, the progress is perfect but I can't help but wonder if it would be a little longer, would a romance develop? However, thinking back, I realized that the drama is almost perfect. I guess it will be up to the audience (Me) to predict what would happen as the story progress. For me, I would believe it will take a lot of getting to know each other but they will finally be together.

Furthermore, it was entertaining to see the humor in this drama. It was not too over the top but I have a few laughs. In addition, I also need to praise the supporting actors for doing such a great job. The Professor's assistant, the detective partner, and the coroner. Sometime they may be a little irritating (the detective partner in particular) but they help bring out the story as well.

Now, let me talk a little about the main actor and actress. I believe they brought out the best in their characters. I got to say that I fell in love with the actor Fukuyama Masaharu as the professor. He is such a werido/nerd/hottie/brilliant/interesting man. I especially love it when he always start off saying that he is not interested in solving crime but when a mystery take place, he would say that it is truly amusing. Moreover, whenever he solve the mystery, he started writing equations on the nearby thing, whether it is on the street or on a car window. LOL! In the meantime, the actress, Shibasaki Kou, is also very adorable. Her expressions is truly amusing. It was very easy to fall in love with this rookie who does everything by instinct. He goes by reason, and she goes by instinct. Truly amazing!

Lastly, I would like to comment on my prediction of how TVB will be 'inspired' by this drama. Since it is a TVB series and it is most likely that it will be 20 episodes or more. I am almost 100% sure that they will solve each case with every two to five episodes, which is a downside for me but anticipated. Moreover, since it is TVB, we will except romance, which is a upside for me. (^v^) Raymond Lam, Tavia Yeung, Kenneth Ma and possibly Bernice Liu. We already knew Raymond is the professor and Tavia as the detective but what about Kenneth and Bernice. If they are not a guest star for a case, I would predict that Kenneth is either Tavia's partner or Raymond's assistant (rooting for this role because he is hilarious.) As for Bernice, she could only be the coroner because that would be the perfect role for her. Trusting TVB, they will add a love story for Bernice and Kenneth and possible more characters. As for the cases, I rather hope they may copy one or two but not the entire series (since it will be disappointing) and trusting HK audiences (No offense) they will probably complaint about the similarity. *sighed* Let's hope the writer came up with original ideas and maybe collaborate with a scientist for more ideas. I am crossing my fingers for this series because I'm a huge Raymond Lam's fan and I am looking forward for FungYi. Bernice and Kenneth is like the cherry on top. Haha! Well, two more days till the costume fitting, so I'm hoping for the best! In addition, I need to thank Raymond and Tavia for introducing me to this fabulous drama, figuratively. (^-^) This will be my most anticipated series for 2010 (I think it will be almost impossible to be air this year?) I can't wait!

Summer Resolution

I believe you all heard of New Year's Resolution, right? Well, this time around I decided to make a Summer Resolution. As I looked at my planner today, I realized that half of the summer has already gone by. I have a little less than two month till school is back on full force. Two months seem like a long time to accomplish anything, right? Well...not really. Therefore, I decided to make a list of summer resolution I hope to fulfill before September 1!

Let's start with 'Illumination'...my heart and soul. Well, maybe not like that (LOL!) but this story took up almost a year of my time. Before the summer ends, I hope to present the conclusion to this story. There are still many details I need to sort out and I still need a good finish. However, I am 95.5% sure that I will finish it on time. I'm crossing my fingers for the best! (^v^)

Now, let's move on to 'Dusk of Dawn', my collection of short stories. As you all know, I am currently in the middle of Berray's story. I still need to write the conclusion but it should end in two or three more chapters. I haven't exactly decide on the next one but it is highly likely that it will be Rady (Raymond and Ady) because I was inspire by this plot. It should be slightly more touching than the others. I really like what I pictured in my mind at this point but I'm not sure how the 'finish product' would turned out. Anyway, judging from my poll, it seem like most people are looking forward to FungYi. If nothing comes up, that should be next, following Rady!

Since I'm on the topic already, I will give you all a slight idea of how the other short stories are coming along in my complicated mind. I already have the general plot for Myolie, Nancy, and Selena but I still need to work with Charmaine. As for the potential actresses, it seems like Fala, Kate and Linda is on the to-be-considered stage. If I could come up with a plot with them, I might give them a story. By the way, I am leaning toward something dark. In addition, I also need to make separate posters for all of them. Woah, this is a long-term commitment. I hope to write as much as possible before things start to fade away...

In addition, I hope to continue making this blog active and interesting. I will try my best to come up with interesting topic to talk about. Lately, I haven't been watching any new TVB series. I don't know. It just doesn't seem that interesting anymore. However, I heard Burning Flame 3 got good rating, even though HK rating doesn't really do some series justice. I think I will give it a try, especially since I really like Wong Hei. Although, I didn't watch that many series lately, I still keep up to date of what is airing in HK and what series is being film. I'm looking forward to some very anticipated series at the end of this year!

Allow me to say one word first..."Wow"!

First of all, I would like to say that I check for Raymond's news frequently on AsianFanatics because they usually have the latest news before it is even confirm. Thank's to all his fans (^v^). However, lately I find the posts to be too... confusing. Why? Not because it was confusing to understand but it was almost impossible for me to follow up on it. That's when I realized that the problem is not the posts but Mr. Raymond Lam's schedule. In one post, a fan is excited about him going to Singapore...another to Vietnam. I guess I lost count. Therefore, I went to his official fan site, FF, to see what was going on. And I was shock at the pile of work up Mr. Lam's sleeves. Being his loyal fan, I have already feel anxious for him when he started preparing for his concert. When I learned that he was filming GTL and preparing for his concert, I honestly worried about his health and his performance. Yet, he surprised me by performing amazingly. I was so happy and was looking forward for him to recharge his energy and start out fresh for his upcoming TVB series with Yi.

Now, any hour ago I just found out he is going to do a movie with Kay. I was like "What are EEG and TVB doing to this poor man? He just pulled himself through his concert and finished filming GTL. Now, you are pulling him to do a movie and a series together??? As well as a mini-concert, the coffee promotions, and another album coming up! Don't get me wrong, I understand that for an artist to be busy is a good thing but what about health, family, and even love. Work-life balance is important. Yet, I know he will pull through because he had in the past. I remember him filming both HOG and DOL at the same time and both series came out fabulous. Overall, I just want to say I hope Robot Raymond would be recognized and appreciated for his work. He is truly amazing .
